{"id":5459,"date":"2020-02-25T10:52:50","date_gmt":"2020-02-25T15:52:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/familyservice2.wpenginepowered.com\/pink-shirt-day-not-just-a-day-for-kidsolder-adults-and-bullying\/"},"modified":"2020-03-03T09:51:48","modified_gmt":"2020-03-03T14:51:48","slug":"pink-shirt-day-not-just-a-day-for-kidsolder-adults-and-bullying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fswe.ca\/fr\/pink-shirt-day-not-just-a-day-for-kidsolder-adults-and-bullying\/","title":{"rendered":"Pink Shirt Day: Not Just a Day for Kids\u2026Older Adults and Bullying"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Media Release<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>Windsor-Essex County: Wednesday, February 26 is Pink Shirt Day.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Family Services Windsor-Essex (FSWE) is supporting the anti-bullying campaign to help raise awareness of bullying of older adults:<\/strong><em>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><a style=\"color: #ff00ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/fswe.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/OlderAdults_and_Bullying_Final_Feb19_2020.pdf\"><strong>#PinkShirtDayForAll<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>In a <sup>1<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheridancollege.ca\/research\/active-research\/serc\/bullying-between-older-adults?utm_source=Canadian+Network+for+the+Prevention+of+Elder+Abuse&amp;utm_campaign=a2fda8c774-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_01_15_COPY_01&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_b7b162148e-a2fda8c774-\">recent Canadian study<\/a>, preliminary reports identified that 57% of English-speaking older adult respondents reported being bullied\u00a0in the last 4 months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Did you know\u2026<\/strong> that through our <a href=\"https:\/\/fswe.ca\/nos-services-2\/service-dintervention-contre-la-maltraitance-des-personnes-agees\/elder-abuse-2\/?lang=fr\">Elder Abuse Response Service<\/a>, FSWE helps older adults deal with neglect, bullying and abuse?
