We are excited to announce our new partnership with Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex (HFHWE), as part of our ongoing focus to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people we are privileged to support, while looking for innovative ways to meet the needs in Windsor and Essex County.
Background:
The HFHWE ReStore Furniture Bank was founded on the belief that a sustainable furniture distribution model could be created to supply individuals and/or families with affordable furniture options.
Local service organizations are working hard to house people, however once sheltered many individuals and families arrive with no furnishings. Habitat For Humanity and Family Services Windsor-Essex are now collaborating to help rectify that situation.
Announcement:
Working in partnership with Family Services Windsor-Essex, the ReStore’s Furniture Bank will help newly housed individuals and families (who are without furniture) get started in their new home by allowing them to access to gift cards for furniture in the local Habitat For Humanity Windsor-Essex Restore.
