Street Outreach & Homelessness Supports

Youth Supportive Housing

At FSWE, we know that housing ends homelessness – which is why we’ve built housing to help more of the people we support find permanent and safe places to live. The Youth Supporting Housing development, which opened in the fall of 2022, features fully furnished “modular” housing units made from shipping containers.  The development includes six units that support up to ten youth at risk of homelessness.

As part of this housing model, social workers provide strengths-based support and advocacy for up to three years to support youth in meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. If you’d like to support our work to further reduce youth homelessness, click here to donate.

Outreach Services

The FSWE Outreach team supports individuals experiencing homelessness by meeting them where they and responding to their immediate needs. Our services include engagement, case management, harm reduction supports, and mental health assistance.

Outreach is delivered directly in community settings, including streets, parks, transit areas, abandoned buildings, and other locations where individuals are living or sheltering.
