Our Group Counselling Programs use relevant and evidenced-based therapeutic formats to promote personal awareness and growth.
Our group programs provide training to help you make substantial changes in your life towards your desired outcomes.
We offer both treatment and psycho-educational groups. See below for current group outlines.
- Small Groups (8-12 participants), led by our qualified counsellors
- Available to adults (18 years and older)
- One to two hour sessions for six weeks, unless otherwise noted

Effective Coping with Depression

Wellness Group

Join one of our ongoing Group Wellness Counselling Sessions. Learn coping skills to manage daily challenges and deal with current or past issues. Topics covered:
- Sense of Self

The Wellness Drop-in Program consists of 90 minute group counselling sessions offered on an ongoing 4-week rotation cycle. Join anytime.
This group runs on:
- Mondays: 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- Thursdays: 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Stress-Busting through Mindfulness
Improve your overall well-being by learning about stress and practicing mindfulness meditation techniques.
Participants will learn the 7 conditions necessary to properly practice mindfulness.
Participants will leave with 6 mindfulness meditation skills and become more resilient in their daily life. Psycho-educational methodology.
Women’s Self-Esteem
A 6 week therapeutic group program for women to strengthen their self -esteem. The program teaches the fundamentals of self-esteem development as well as the practical methods for strengthening behaviours associated with an enhanced sense of self-esteem.

Men’s Self-Worth
A 6-week therapeutic (treatment) group program for men to strengthen their self-worth. The program teaches the fundamentals of self-worth development as well as the practical methods for strengthening behaviours associated with an enhanced sense of self-worth. Each group session is 1.5 hours in length.

Women’s Anger Resolution
An 8 week therapeutic (treatment) group program for women to learn how to enhance their ability to communicate their anger effectively. Each group session is 2 hours in length with the exception of session 1 lasting one hour.

Out of the red – Men’s Anger Resolution
A 6-week psycho-educational group program for men who have NOT been violent to persons, pets or property aimed at helping participants learn about pre-determinants of anger, anger resolution methods, awareness building regarding the effects of anger on others, costs/benefits of unhealthy anger, emotional regulation, practicing mindfulness, etc.
Please note that at the time of registration, potential group candidates are screened through numerous risk assessment questions to confirm non-violence as a mandatory criteria for group involvement.

Parents transitioning through separation or divorce
An 8 week psycho-educational program for parents who have or are in the process of separating or divorcing and are committed to growing in awareness about the short and long term effects of separation/divorce on their children.
Potential participants are advised by Customer Care at the time of their intake registration of the necessity for amicable engagement between partners during the group process.
If potential participants identify an inability to be amicable with one’s partner, they are advised of the ability to attend the group separately. Given the psycho-educational format of the group, new members can join at any time during the course of the group and therefore have the opportunity to engage in any previously missed sessions.

Our fee is $20 per session.
